Not sure I picked the right type of sticker

I loved the size and the picture. I bought these to stick onto plastic drink cups for my friends for the Holidays. The problem I ran into is that they do not conform to a round surface (as in the side of the plastic cups) and they did not stick, they kept peeling off. I would try to glue them, but they wrinkle on the cups no matter how hard I try to get them to smooth out, they just dont.
